Medical: BFC

Immediately upon assignment to Naples (or related ISODET) you are strongly advised to complete the New Patient Health Questionnaire (Or Download in the new arrivals pack). This can be completed online and e-mailed to the BFC (SE) prior to joining.

Prior to leaving your present Ship/Unit/Establishment it is vital that you inform your current Medical and Dental Centre of your posting to Naples. This should ensure that your medical and dental records are dispatched.

Our military postal address is:

*    British Forces Clinic (SE)
        BFPO 8

In accordance with current regulations it is permitted to bring your medical and dental documents by hand.

Dependants and Civilians

Immediately upon notification of your husband/wife’s posting to Naples (or related ISODET) you are strongly advised to complete the New Patient Health Questionnaire. This can be completed online and e-mailed to the BFC (SE) prior to joining.

Each dependant will be required to complete a separate questionnaire.

Prior to leaving the UK you must “fully de-register” from your current NHS General Practice. Failure to “de-register” from the NHS will result in the BFC (SE) will not being able to request your NHS medical records from the UK. This will then affect your entitlement to treatment whilst in Italy.

Dependants and Civilians cannot be registered both in the UK (or British Forces Germany) and at BFC (SE) simultaneously.

Upon deregistration from the NHS you are strongly advised to complete the F Med 246 (Or Download in the new arrivals pack). This will need to be printed and completed by hand. The completed form can then be posted or faxed to the BFC (SE). Failure to complete and forward this form prior to joining will dramatically slow the receipt of your NHS medical records. Again, one completed form will be required per civilian/dependant.
